The French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) invites applications for full-time permanent positions in a wide range of scientific disciplines, including linguistics. Candidates must indicate their preferred CNRS research labs for affiliation. Selecting the right fit is vital for a successful application. The Laboratoire de Phonétique et Phonologie (LPP), hosted by the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris, is eager to support a select number of applicants who have a strong research background in phonetics and/or phonology, and are ready to develop a project that aligns with its research themes.
Who Can Apply?
This position, known as CNRS research associate, normal class (CRCN), is aimed at early-career researchers who hold a PhD by the application deadline, regardless of age or nationality. Fluency in French is not a prerequisite for the application.
Phonetics and phonology at LPP
The LPP is a team of approximately 50 members, including 24 permanent members, dedicated to exploring various areas in the fields of phonetics and phonology. We welcome applications across a broad spectrum of topics, including: Experimental phonetics, clinical phonetics, laboratory phonology, theoretical phonology, language acquisition and multilingualism, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, typology, etc.

La maîtrise du français n’est pas une condition préalable à la candidature.
La phonétique et la phonologie au LPP
Le LPP est une équipe d’environ 50 membres, dont 24 membres permanents, qui se consacrent à l’exploration de divers domaines de la phonétique et de la phonologie. Nous acceptons les candidatures dans un large éventail de domaines, notamment : Phonétique expérimentale, phonétique clinique, phonologie de laboratoire, phonologie théorique, acquisition du langage et multilinguisme, psycholinguistique, linguistique computationnelle, typologie, etc.
